Treasure Map: Expansion - All Treasure Locations - Resident Evil 4 Guide - IGN (2024)

The Resident Evil 4 Remake features over 100 Treasures to collect, and you can increase this total by purchasing the Treasure Map: Expansion. The Treasure: Map Expansion can be bought as standalone DLC content, as part of the RE4 Remake Deluxe Edition, or as part of the RE4 Extra DLC Pack. Once purchased, 41 exclusive Treasures that can only be seen with the Treasure Map: Expansion will be automatically added to your Map.

In this Resident Evil 4 Remake guide, we'll provide detailed instructions to help you find each of the 41 Treasures added to your Map when you purchase the Treasure Map: Expansion DLC.

Treasures added through the Treasure Map: Expansion will be shown on your Map as a Diamond icon with a yellow plus sign next to it. These Treasures are meant to be additive, and they are not required to achieve 100% completion.

Expanded Village Treasure 1 - Ornate Necklace

• Value: 11,000 Pesetas+ (can be inlaid with certain gemstones to increase value)

The first Treasure found with the Expanded Map is on the eastern end of the Village Square, just north of the Town Hall. The Treasure is sitting on some stacked wooden panels beside a Green Herb.

Expanded Village Treasure 2 - Sapphire 1

• Value: 4,000 Pesetas

The second Treasure found with the Expanded Map is hanging high in the tree toward the center of the Lakeside Settlement. When you reach the area, approach the dead space just above the word, "Lakeside", on your Map and look upward to find the copper lantern housing a Sapphire gemstone.

Expanded Village Treasure 3 - Spinel 1

The third Treasure can be found hanging from the elevated bridge just east of the building where you found the Hexagonal Emblem needed to open the gate that leads toward the Village Chief’s Manor. When you reach the bridge, look upward to spot the copper lantern pictured above.

Expanded Village Treasure 4 - Alexandrite 1

• Value: 6,000 Pesetas

The fourth Treasure can be found in a copper lantern that hangs just past the door that requires the Hexagonal Emblem to unlock. After you walk through this door, look at the ruins directly ahead to find and shoot down the lantern containing an Alexandrite gemstone.

Expanded Village Treasure 5 - Emerald 1

• Value: 5,000 Pesetas

The fifth Treasure is found in the Church’s graveyard. When you reach the area, approach the tree near the shack on the northwestern end of the area. You’ll find a copper lantern dangling from one of the tree branches. Shoot down the lantern to get your hands on an Emerald gemstone.

Expanded Village Treasure 6 - Red Gemstone Ring

• Value: 6,000 Pesetas

You won’t have to go far to collect the next Treasure because it’s found in a small passage to the left of the Church entrance. After finding that the Church is locked, walk through the narrow passage between the Church’s door and the gated tombs to the left. Here, you’ll find a Red Gemstone Ring.

Expanded Village Treasure 7 - Silver Token 1

• Value: N/A

This Treasure is found in the structure on the western end of the Fish Farm. This is the same structure where you find the gas tank to fuel the boat. Upon entering the structure, approach the gas tank and look upward to find a copper lantern dangling from a wooden beam. Shoot down the lantern, and you’ll be rewarded with a Silver Token.

Expanded Village Treasure 8 - Ruby 1

• Value: 3,000 Pesetas

After discovering the Mural Cave, hop aboard the nearby boat and sail to the northeastern edge of the lake to reach the Small Cave Shrine where Blasphemer’s Head can be found. This Treasure will be at the end of the alley to the left of the shack near a ladder. When you reach the alley, look upward to spot a copper lantern that contains a Ruby gemstone.

Expanded Village Treasure 9 - Spinel 2

To collect this Treasure, return to the Lakeside Settlement in Chapter 4 and use the Insignia Key to open the gate on the northern end of the area. After walking through the gate, follow the path to the left, and you’ll find a copper lantern hanging near an upright wooden beam. The wooden beam will be near a couple of barrels and directly across from a Blue Request Note.

Expanded Village Treasure 10 - Silver Token 2

• Value: N/A

This Treasure is found in the Large Cave Shrine that you’ll visit to collect the Apostate’s Head. After reaching the Large Cave Shrine, follow the northern path that leads to the ladder on the northeastern end of the region. As you walk the northern path, look upward, and you’ll spot a copper lantern hanging from the stalagmite. Shoot it down to collect your second Silver Token.

Expanded Village Treasure 11 - Glasses (Wellington) and Gold Token

Soon after rescuing Ashley, you’ll boost her up so she can lower the collapsible ladder on the second floor of the Church. After climbing the ladder, wrap around the area, and at the end of the hall, you’ll find a small chest housing the Glasses (Wellington) Accessory and a Gold Token.

Expanded Village Treasure 12 - Silver Token 3

This Treasure is in the locked barn on the northwestern end of the Village Square. Now that you’ve got Ashley by your side, boost her through the gap in the wall pictured above, and she’ll unlock the front door.

Inside, you’ll find a chest housing an Elegant Bangle, but the Expanded Treasure will be dangling from a copper lantern attached to the ceiling. Shoot down the lantern to collect another Silver Token.

Expanded Village Treasure 13 - Red Beryl 1

• Value: 9,000 Pesetas

After narrowly surviving the assault on the Villa, walk down the path that leads to the Merchant’s shop. Before reaching the shop, look up at the metal beams holding up the cliffside, and you’ll find a dangling copper lantern. Shoot it down to collect a Red Beryl gemstone.

Expanded Village Treasure 14 - Spinel 3

This Treasure is found in the Checkpoint area that you’ll reach as you attempt to escape the Village. The Spinel Treasure will be within a copper lantern that hangs from the southern end of the main building in the Checkpoint area.

Expanded Village Treasure 15 - Hair Color (Red) and Gold Token

The final Treasure you can collect in the Village using the Expansion Map is found on the back of the truck that leads to the Castle. Before walking across the drawbridge, open the chest pictured above to collect the Red Hair Color Accessory and a Gold Token.

All Castle Treasures - Treasure Map: Expansion

Expanded Castle Treasure 1 - Sapphire 1

• Value: 4,000 Pesetas

The first Expanded Map Treasure in the Castle can be found in a copper lantern dangling from the gate on the first floor of the Castle Gate area. After the brief cutscene that introduces the catapults, take a few steps forward, and the gate will be to your left.

Expanded Castle Treasure 2 - Silver Token 1

After defeating your first Garrador, return to Ashley, unlock the door, and climb the ladder to escape the Dungeon. You'll find yourself in a storage area that houses a Spinel Treasure and a Clockwork Castellan. The Expanded Treasure, however, will be in a copper lantern hanging from the ceiling near the doorway.

Expanded Castle Treasure 3 - Spinel 1

• Value: Can only be traded in

This Treasure can be found in a copper lantern hanging in the room just east of the Audience Chamber. After ringing the gongs to access the room east of the Audience Chamber, walk to the southern end of the room, and look upward to find the lantern dangling from the high ceiling.

Expanded Castle Treasure 4 - Alexandrite 1

• Value 6,000 Pesetas

After using the Crimson Lantern to unlock the door, you'll reach a hallway full of knight armor. From here, head up the stairs to the north, and you'll find this Treasure dangling from a copper lantern attached to the ceiling.

Expanded Castle Treasure 5 - Silver Token 2

This Treasure is in a copper lantern that hangs from the southeastern corner of the Bindery. Shoot it down to collect a Silver Token.

Expanded Castle Treasure 6 - Stylish Mask and Gold Token

• Value: N/A

The sixth Castle Treasure can be found just before entering the room where you find Ashley at the end of Chapter 8. If you've already passed the area, you'll need to return to the room above the Courtyard where a Typewriter can be found. From here, go out the eastern exit, and you'll find the chest atop a stack of crates.

Expanded Castle Treasure 7 - Silver Token 3

To find this Treasure, start at the Grand Hall and walk onto the second-story balcony. Next, walk through the doorway that leads north toward the Armory, and you'll enter the room housing the Treasure. Once in this room, approach the open window and look upward to find the copper lantern that contains this Silver Token.

Expanded Castle Treasure 8 - Yellow Diamond 1

• Value: 7,000 Pesetas

Though you may notice the copper lantern while playing as Ashley, this Treasure cannot be collected until you retake control of Leon in Chapter 10. After escaping from the golden cage, walk through the door south of the Chimera statue, take a right, then continue down this path and you'll reach the western area of the Library.

Next, walk through the eastern doorway to reach the central Library area, then defeat the armored enemies lurking here. Finally, walk through the northeastern passage that leads to the stairs, and you'll find the lantern hanging from the archway.

Expanded Castle Treasure 9 - Elegant Crown 1

• Value: 19,000 Pesetas+ (can be inlaid with certain gemstones to increase value)

To find this Treasure, return to the Grand Hall and enter the room where the Merchant has set up shop. Walk through this room's southern doorway and hop aboard the trolley to return to the Audience Chamber area. When you get off the trolley, check the southwestern nook to find a chest containing a lucrative Elegant Crown.

Expanded Castle Treasure 10 - Silver Token 4

After your first encounter with Novistadors, you'll try to push through a door only to find that it's locked. Walk up the steps to the left of the locked door, and your next Treasure will be in this room. Once you walk through the doorway, wrap around to the left, and you'll spot a copper lantern hanging from the southwestern corner of this room, just above a wooden barrel.

Expanded Castle Treasure 11 - Spinel 2

• Value: Can only be traded in

This Treasure can be found after climbing out of the Depths. Now that you're back on dry land, walk to the end of the tunnel and enter the room where the Merchant has set up shop. Once inside the shop, turn around to face the door, and you'll spot the copper lantern hanging above the doorway. Shoot the lantern and you'll collect a Spinel.

Expanded Castle Treasure 12 - Emerald 1

• Value: 5,000 Pesetas

After escaping the Depths, you'll soon find yourself in the Underground Laboratory. At the end of the hall take a right, and you'll enter the room where this Treasure can be found. To find the Treasure, search the eastern end of the room and you'll find a copper lantern hanging in between two bookcases. Shoot the lantern and you'll get your hands on an Emerald gemstone.

Expanded Castle Treasure 13 - Spinel 3

• Value: Can only be traded in

This Treasure can be found on the western end of the area labeled "Mines" on your Map. When you reach the area with Luis, defeat the patrolling enemies, then approach the western reaches of the Mines. From here, look up to find an overhanging wooden platform. The copper lantern housing the Spinel will be attached to this overhanging platform.

Expanded Castle Treasure 14 - Illuminados Pendant 1

• Value: 18,000 Pesetas

After surviving the boss battle in the Blast Furnace, boost Luis through the gap in the wall so he can unlock the door. Once in this new area, walk past the stairs, and you'll find a chest sitting on a blue workstation. Open the chest to collect an Illuminados Pendant.

Expanded Castle Treasure 15 - Ornate Necklace 1

• Value: 11,000 Pesetas+ (can be inlaid with certain gemstones to increase value)

At the beginning of Chapter 12, you'll take an elevator up to the area of the Ballroom where the Merchant has set up shop. Instead of taking the aerial gondola to the Clocktower, start making your way back to the Throne Room, the area you briefly visited before falling into the Depths. To get there, exit through the Ballroom's eastern door, fight your way through the Antechamber, then continue east, and you'll enter the Throne Room. Once you've made it to the Throne Room, walk onto the altar and make an immediate left to find the treasure chest sitting on top of the railing.

Expanded Castle Treasure 16 - Silver Token 5

After making your way to the top of the Clocktower by surviving the lift sequence, walk onto the elevated walkway and look upward. You should spot a copper lantern, so shoot it down to collect a Silver Token.

Expanded Castle Treasure 17 - Yellow Diamond

• Value: 7,000 Pesetas

After defeating Salazar in the Ancient Chantry, take the elevator downward, then walk through the storage area. Once you've walked through the doorway to leave the storage area, pass the pointed archway and turn around. The copper lantern housing your Treasure will be hanging above this pointed archway.

All Island Treasures - Treasure Map: Expansion

Expanded Island Treasure 1 - Emerald 1

• Value: 5,000 Pesetas

After your first encounter with an RPG-wielding enemy, you'll enter an area full of shipping containers and bad guys. Defeat the enemies on the lower level and walk toward the locked gate at the center of the area. The copper lantern will be hanging from the walkway just above this locked gate.

Expanded Island Treasure 2 - Spinel 1

• Value: Can only be traded in

This Treasure can be found after the flaming-man cutscene at the end of the Utilities hallway. After the cutscene, walk through the archway to head toward the Merchant, then immediately turn around to face the archway. Here, you'll spot a copper lantern that holds a Spinel.

Expanded Island Treasure 3 - Silver Token 1

• Value: N/A

After using your Level 2 Keycard to reach the Systems area, walk down the steps that lead toward the Incubation Lab. Before going through the door that faces the stairs, look upward to find a copper lantern that contains this Silver Token.

Expanded Island Treasure 4 - Hair Color (Blue) and Gold Token

• Value: N/A

At the start of Chapter 14, boost Ashley through the gap in the wall so she can unlock the door that leads to the Merchant's shop. Before entering the Merchant's shop search the room between the shop and Facility 1 Storage to find the chest pictured above. Inside the chest, you'll find the Hair Color (Blue) Accessory and a Gold Token.

Expanded Island Treasure 5 - Ruby 1

• Value: 3,000 Pesetas

This Treasure is found in the Waste Disposal area, so you'll need to order Ashley to operate the wheel so you can use the bridge to cross to the eastern side. From here, follow the natural path until you reach the bridge that leads to the southwestern end of the area. When you reach the center of this bridge, look upward to find the copper lantern that holds this Ruby gemstone.

Expanded Island Treasure 6 - Spinel 2

• Value: Can only be traded in

The sixth Treasure is found in the Amber Storeroom. After hopping off the elevator and entering the Amber Storeroom, walk directly ahead until you reach the end of the path, then look upward to shoot the copper lantern housing this Spinel.

Expanded Island Treasure 7 - Silver Token 2

After using the timed wheel-mechanism to escape Specimen Storage, you'll find yourself in a safe area where the Merchant has set up shop. Immediately after rolling through the closing door, look to your left to find this Treasure hanging from a copper lantern.

Expanded Island Treasure 8 - Red Beryl 1

• Value: 9,000 Pesetas

This Treasure is found on the western reaches of the Sanctuary Approach, just before you enter the doors that lead to your current objective. Before walking through the door, look to the left, and you'll find a copper lantern hanging between two columns.

Expanded Island Treasure 9 - Spinel 3

The final Treasure that you can find with the Treasure Map: Expansion is located just before reaching the Merchant's shop near the Loading Docks. Before reaching the purple torch-lit area, look toward the cave ceiling to shoot down a copper lantern housing this Spinel.
