Can you reset a water cooler? ›

Reset. Remove the water jug from the cooler and set it to the side. Unplug the water cooler for several minutes. Plug your cooler back into the wall outlet, but do not replace the jug just yet.

Clean your water cooler regularly to keep it running well. Once a month, check the wire grid across the back of the cooler for lint and dust. Vacuum or clean these areas with a brush. Do not lubricate the compressor.

After, check if the water pump functions by the coolant rushing out after removing the radiator's blockage. If that doesn't happen, use a rag to squeeze into the upper radiator hose while someone steps on the accelerator. Then, release the radiator hose to check for coolant flow.

Water Pump is not Working

Inspect the Impeller: The water pump contains an impeller, a rotating disc that transfers energy to the motor and facilitates water movement. Sometimes, debris can clog the impeller, leading to pump malfunction. Cleaning the impeller with a brush can often resolve this issue.

Ensure there is no debris or blockage in the intake. Inspect wiring and electrical connections for signs of damage. Test the pump motor and control systems to ensure proper functioning. Monitor the water pressure and flow rate regularly to identify any irregularities.
